With a guest-to-staff ratio of 2 to 1, the Chobe Princess houseboats provide a high level of personal service and attention:

  • Each cabin accommodates two guests and measures an average of 140 sq ft (13 sq meters), offering a comfortable and well-appointed space for guests to relax and enjoy the surrounding river scenery.

  • Two of the Chobe Princess houseboats feature four cabins, and the third, larger houseboat offers five cabins.

  • Enjoy a wonderful dining experience with three hearty meals every day, complemented by a selection of drinks and snacks in between. The day begins with a continental and/or cooked breakfast. Indulge in a delectable buffet lunch, and in the evening savour a beautifully crafted three-course plated dinner.

Drifting along the majestic Chobe River, our three Chobe Princess houseboats offer supreme comfort, in one of the world’s most diverse landscapes. Enjoy our all-inclusive African river experience as you witness extraordinary wildlife scenes and immerse yourself in a truly intimate river safari.

With a limited number of guests on each boat, staying on one of the Chobe Princesses is like having your own houseboat. For a more exclusive experience, you can book the entire boat, transforming it into your private safari villa on the water. These houseboats allow you to explore the stunning Chobe River at your own pace, offering an expansive and varied adventure through one of Africa’s most iconic waterways.

A wonderful houseboat experience – the 3 little sisters of the luxurious Zambezi Queen, is slightly lower in price than the Queen but operating on the same basis as the Queen. With only a small number of guests per boat staying in one of the three Chobe Princesses are like being on your very own houseboat.

  • Shared spaces: Lounge; Pool deck; Top Viewing Deck
  • The entire boat can also be booked exclusively, giving you your very own private villa on the water.

Chobe River Meander
3 or 4-days/2 or 3-Nights

Arrive in Kasane, then transfer via Botswana Border and then into Namibian side. A floating boutique hotel that departs and returns to the same point, navigating roughly 25km/16 miles of the Chobe River weather permitting.

The Chobe Princess sails on scheduled weekly departures:

  • Every Monday (two nights)

  • Wednesday (two nights)

  • Friday (three nights).

All-inclusive rate per person sharing per night for either a 2, 3, or 4-night itinerary.
The Chobe Princesses sail on scheduled weekly departures every Monday (two-nights or four nights), Wednesday (two-nights) and Friday (three-nights). The rates vary throughout the season, so please take this into consideration when planning your stay.

Standard Cabin & Superior Cabin

  • Low Season) (Jan, Feb, Dec)

Included:

  • Accommodation.

  • All meals, soft drinks, mineral water, coffee, tea, local beer and wine.

  • Guided water-based game viewing and birding.

  • Guided water-based fishing (all fishing is strictly catch and release)*

  • Guided (non-professional) water-based photographic safari**

  • Guided cultural tour of a local village.

  • Guided walks on Impalila Island, for Ichingo Chobe River Lodge guests only.

  • Road transfers to and from Kasane International Airport and Kasane Immigration Office located on the Botswana side of the Chobe River***

  • Boat transfers between Kasane Immigration Office and Namibia Immigration Office located on the Namibian side of the Chobe River***

* Subject to availability of fishing boats
** Subject to availability of the photographic boat
*** When arriving at the Kasane and Namibian Immigration Offices guests need to fill in the required immigration forms to gain access and departure permission from the relevant authorities. This process can take between 45 to 60 minutes to complete and needs to be considered in terms of timing and pre-planning.

Excluded: 

Rovos Rail offers various journeys across the sub-continent of Africa:

  • Air tickets and visa fees.

  • Premium alcoholic beverages (such as sparkling wine, spirits & dessert).

  • Curio store purchase.

  • Gratuities (discretionary).

  • Community development levy, it will reflect as a separate line item on all invoices issued. The funds collected will supplement our community projects and initiatives run by the Zambezi Queen Collection to assist with education, health care and basic community services.

Child Policy:

  • The Chobe Princesses welcomes children age 7 upwards.

  • Children aged 7 to 12 will receive a 50% discount on the applicable adult rate and a 30% single supplement applies to single children.

  • Children aged 13 and older are considered adults and will be charged the applicable adult rate.

  • Only one child between the ages 7 and 12 can share a cabin with two adults. This is limited to one cabin per night per houseboat and is subject to availability at time of reservation.

  • Please note that no babysitting services, separate activities and/or menus are available for children.
